Domaine Les Eminades, Patricia & Luc Bettoni

Created in 2002 when Luc, an oenologist, stumbled across isolated, very old vines in the hills behind Béziers. His intuitive wine making is already making marvels and the French press is raving about these wines. Driven organically, the vineyard is a mosaic of soils, expositions and altitudes.

Saint-Chinian Blanc, Montmajou 2010, 75cl

Saint Chinian doesn't produce very much white wine, roughly less than 5% of all production. And the AOC wasn't extended to white wine until 5 years ago. This particular one is 80% Grenache, 20% Marsanne, from Montmajou, a sub-region at 250m altitude between Cebezan and Cruzy. Organic, handpicked,  natural yeast, maturation in barrels for 11 months on fine lees, malolactic fermentation.
